Infuse your chicken with intriguing flavors using this vertical roaster. It will be the most flavorful and moist chicken you've ever had! Made of quality stainless steel, this roaster begins with a vertical roasting stand that attaches to a large, round drip tray (the stand collapses for easy storage). In the center of the drip tray sits a round dish with cone shaped top. Fill the round dish with herbs, spices, cider, juices or beer; as your chicken rests on the stand, the aromas and flavors from the liquids and herbs pass through the perforations on the cone shaped top, filling the cavity of the bird and adding moisture to the meat as it roasts. If your last experiment with a vertical roaster led to the bird tipping on its tripod base and landing in the grease pouring out of its cavity, here's a chance to get it right. This Norpro model is versatile enough to serve as a horizontal 13-by-8-1/2-inch rack for roasts. And it easily but sturdily converts to vertical roasting by anchoring up to four hooked pieces to the slats of the flat rack, enabling two birds to roast on this roost, cooking evenly inside and out, with no danger of capon cartwheel. Flipping the bird, so to speak, is a thing of the past--there's no need to pull the rack out of the oven halfway through cooking--and you may as well roast two while you have the heat cranked up (put one in the freezer for next week). We are Farmers and I do a lot of cooking. I got this Roaster Oven so I could cook two in the time of one ,freeze the extra and have an almost ready source of quick dinner. Summer here is long and HOT, so using my kitchen oven is avoided about half the year.I have this roaster oven out on our porch.

This is the biggest non-comercial roaster I could find with cost being a facter also. I have been using the roaster at least once a week since I got it and I am very pleased with it. The only thing I don't like is how thin the cover is so I tent it with heavy duty alluminum foil to help insulate the top. This seams to cut the cooking time down a bit.

The Roaster that I received from the site has worked great. It can easily cook a turkey and it comes out very juicy. It also is very easy to clean. I had great service from the distributor. He made sure that I got it in time for Thanksgiving. I would highly recommend the roaster and the site.

The roaster oven worked great for our 22 lb Thanksgiving turkey, which was stuffed. However, it took about 60 minutes longer than the directions said it would for a stuffed bird. I used the browning sauce recipe included with the oven and the turkey looked perfect. It was moist and delicious! However, I did not expect the outside to heat up as much as it did and burned my hand when I touched it. I put a Post-It note on the cupboard above the roaster warning others not to touch!!

I have since used the roaster to steam about 12 lb of King Crab legs. I improvised a large enough colander from a disposable turkey roasting pan and set it on a rack I had that fit the roaster perfectly. I added 1 qt of water after preheating the roaster to 450 F, then piled in the crab legs. They were done perfectly in about 15 minutes. What an easy way to get this job done!

The roaster looks great and cleans easily -- once it has cooled.

All in all a great investment that has freed up my oven for other foods I make for our big family parties. I am very happy with this purchase.

I tried a whole chicken, chicken parts, and fish.
All turned very tasty despite my general lack of enthusiam for cooking.
Highly recommended.

The only problem was a door latch that needed some tweaking. I suggest they upgrade the door latch.

We have the sunbeam model that's maybe 10 years ago. It is no longer made but along comes this almost identical item at twice the cost. If you are having trouble with timing meat you might see if you can find a BIG GEORGE guide or manual on line as we had a BG that died on us but use the guidelines in there to figure out where to set temps and times on this unit. I called Sunbeam years ago for an updated manual or recipe guide but nothing new. It can't do a 10-12 pound turkey either. BG would do that but now that it's dead we are trying to figure out if some of the electric grills with rotisseries can handle a small turkey.

This model gets very hot on top so don't touch when cooking and make sure it isn't directly under an upper cabinet. We've never used any of the accessories which Sunbeam actually came with a few more than is shown with this one but everything looks the same basically. It does a fair job only at cooking meat and so I

can't give it more than 3 stars. It would get 5 if it had more temperature settings and a better guide and manual. I can't imagine that making it bigger to accomodate a small turkey is going to work well with most consumers. So won't hold that against it.

I love this rotisserie - I use it at every opportunity. I hunt for things I can cook in it.

I have had it about 2 weeks and I have made 2 roasted chicken, 2 racks of lamb, steak shish-kabobs, veggie shish-kabobs, & pork chops. All were wonderful. I will recommend this to everyone I know.
